Have questions? I am here to help

I work with individuals and organisations.

I provide individual therapy for people who would like to embark upon therapy for whatever reason. This could be for example, to address a particular issue, for personal growth or move towards living a more fulfilled life.

Within organisations, I can offer bespoke training, therapy and reflective practice groups. The exact remit of my input is dependent upon what your organisations is looking for, but as an example, my previous work with organisations has included:

• Consultation services offered to leadership teams
• Audits
• Training-needs analysis and subsequent training programme created
• Reflective practice
• Trauma-informed training for various staff groups.

I have worked with clients from a range of sectors including, third-sector, religion, financial, government and educational. In line with the changeable needs of an organisation, I am able to undertake short and long-term pieces of work.

No it should not be. I am able to work with you if you are covered by the following private insurance companies: AXA, Aviva and Vitality. It is completely fine if you are being funded by your employer to work with me. To move through the registration phase quicker, it would be good if you could confirm with your employer that they are happy for you to work with an external provider (i.e. me). Once this is done, I will liaise with your employer directly.

I realise that some people do not have private medical insurance and prefer not to go through their employer. If this is the case for you, I also offer the option of self-funding.

This is dependent upon the type of therapist you see, as there can be differences in the way one practices due to therapeutic style and type of training. I am a chartered counselling psychologist who works from the ethos that understanding you, your goals and how we can work together to get there is vitally important. It is not possible to outline exactly what the course of my intervention will involve, as this is individualised. Throughout our work together, we will regularly review and adapt the work accordingly.

There is not a single answer to this question, as it is dependent upon your needs. For example, some have a very clear idea about what they need, whereas other times the work can begin from an explorational basis. Some difficulties can be worked on in as a little as a couple of months, whereas other times longer term work is required. It really depends upon on what you want my support with.

First off, good on you for making contact in the first place. This is not an easy thing to do. In terms of preparation, I would encourage you to be open minded so that you can get the most from your time. Also, I would recommend setting aside a bit of time either side of the session to create some space for you to consider what you want to discuss in the space, and also to process the contents afterwards.
